Meisner, Robert Hannu, David Sexton Excused: Lisa Frazier, Jinho Jung Special Guests: Alex Porter and Adriana Mendez Proctor Policy Discussions Continued: The purpose of this meeting is to determine the best way to get the students perspective about proctoring at GBC. The committee suggests we survey students in specific classes that use proctoring CHEM, GEOL, MATH, HIST. Faculty members would voluntarily include the Proctoring Survey in their WebCampus course. Students enrolled in multiple courses using this survey would be asked to only complete the survey one time. The survey will be prefaced with the importance of proctoring for preserving academic integrity of our courses and our college, as well as the importance of performing tasks and answering questions without relying on external resources. Potential Survey Questions: What is a reasonable window of availability for a proctored exam? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 days. What concerns do you have about proctoring (check all that apply): Making an appointment, Arranging child care while I take the exam, Exam availability conflicts with my work schedule, I live in the middle of no where and it takes a long time to get to a GBC Center, Finding a proctor outside of the GBC service area, I have to wait in line a long time to get a proctor, Other: ___________ What location do you generally take proctored exams: Battle Mountain, Elko, Ely, Pahrump, Winnemucca, other GBC location, my home (using ProctorU or other web-based proctoring service).
