Fitness for Service policy was recently on the BOR agenda and has been approved by the board. This caught the Faculty Senate Chairs unaware. The Chairs were informed that last June, the Vice Chancellor of Legal Affairs did send the policy out for review. When it was brought to the BOR meeting, the Chairs reviewed it very closely and there was some verbiage that the Chairs were uncomfortable with. The Executive Committee did discuss the item and Chair Theriault asked that if you have comments or concerns to let him know so that he can discuss them with the Chancellor. It was asked that the Chair give a synopsis of this policy and Chair Theriault explained the policy. Chair Theriault did include a link to the policy in his recent board recap. committee reports Academic Standards Written Report Adjunct Faculty Written Report Assessment Written Report Budget & Facilities Written Report Bylaws Written Report Compensation & Benefits Written Report Curriculum & Articulation Written Report/Action Item - Jonathan Foster brought forward the action items.
