He is a fish biologist and served in Fiji. This upcoming program will be to: 1. Highlight the Peace Corps 50th anniversary, 2. Help recruit volunteers for the Peace Corps. It was decided that the event will be held on Wednesday, October 5th, in the solarium and either the theater or one of the larger classrooms for an evening presentation. The daytime program in the solarium will feature returned volunteers discussing their experiences and Peace Corps informational/recruiting materials. The evening program will be held in a larger venue, and feature a Peace Corps-related film. We will explore the possibility of serving food. Americorps, the domestic version of the Peace Corps, may also be a good tie-in. We made an impact on those who attended the Empowerment Week events, and wish more people could have attended. The donations were terrific, and we greatly appreciate those who gave. We discussed how to increase attendance at our events. Perhaps we could have an ICE committee member attend departmental meetings to interest them in our programs, and to see what they would like us to bring to campus. We can also explore the possibility of tying into already successful events, such as movie nights and advertising at Caf X at lunchtime. Argentum will be released May 5th at 4:30, at the opening of the student art show in GTA. Various instructors, the Academic Success Center, Jeanne Long and Norm Cavanaugh will have them to give out here in Elko, and copies have been sent to our outlying centers. We will also have them for orientation. Angie deBraga and Karen Dannehl will be next years co-chairs. Our end-of-the-year celebration will be held at Duncan Little Creek on Friday, May 13th at 5 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Karen Dannehl H J _ a / ]^}#%1WqqehECJOJQJaJh5h5CJH*OJQJaJh5CJOJQJaJh >h >CJH*OJQJaJhqCJOJQJaJhLCJOJQJaJhLCJOJQJaJhLCJOJQJaJhu=_CJOJQJaJhKCJOJQJaJh >CJOJQJaJhLhLCJOJQJaJ @ ^01IWgdV21h:pu=_/ =!"#$% j 666666666vvvvvvvvv666666>6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666hH6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666662 0@P`p2( 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p8XV~ OJPJQJ_HmH nH sH tH J`J u=_Normal dCJ_HaJmH sH tH DA D Default Paragraph FontRiR 0 Table Normal4 l4a (k ( 0No List RR 8I0 Balloon Text dCJOJQJ^JaJN/N 8I0Balloon Text CharCJOJQJ^JaJPK![Content_Types].xmlj0Eжr(΢Iw},-j4 wP-t#bΙ{UTU^hd}㨫)*1P' ^W0)T9<l#$yi};~@(Hu* Dנz/0ǰ $ X3aZ,D0j~3߶b~i>3\`?/[G\!-Rk.sԻ..a濭?PK!֧6 _rels/.relsj0 }Q%v/C/}(h"O = C?hv=Ʌ%[xp{۵_Pѣ<1H0ORBdJE4b$q_6LR7`0̞O,En7Lib/SeеPK!kytheme/theme/themeManager.xml M @}w7c(EbˮCAǠҟ7՛K Y, e.|,H,lxɴIsQ}#Ր ֵ+!,^$j=GW)E+& 8PK!Ptheme/theme/theme1.xmlYOo6w toc'vuر-MniP@I}úama[إ4:lЯGRX^6؊>$ !)O^rC$y@/yH*񄴽)޵߻UDb`}"qۋJחX^)I`nEp)liV[]1M<OP6r=zgbIguSebORD۫qu gZo~ٺlAplxpT0+[}`jzAV2Fi@qv֬5\|ʜ̭NleXdsjcs7f W+Ն7`g ȘJj|h(KD- dXiJ؇(x$( :;˹!
