The circulation statistics section will provide the reader with information regarding patron activity within the library. With this information one should be able to make informed decisions regarding the hours of the library; how to better staff the circulation desk; and finally, which areas of the library are being utilized the most/least. The internet statistics will provide the reader with accurate information pertaining to the usage of the library web pages, e-books and database usage. Circulation Statistics The library saw a total of 10,053 patron visits during the first part of the Spring 2010 semester, an increase of 4% from the first 9 weeks of the Fall 2009 Semester(9,666 visits). Library Statistics Report Circulation Desk 7 Database Statistics We have a total 69 databases that we subscribe to and a total of 5,307 eBooks that we own. The databases continue to rise in popularity and usage. The importance of having the databases are two-fold. First, it allows all Ĵý students access to up-to-date articles and journals written by scholars from around the world. Secondly, having a good database system allows distance students and students from our other campuses, the ability to also access this valuable information from our other campuses. (As our distance student population rises, it would be beneficial for them and an added benefit to have an expanded database selection along with a comprehensive eBook collection.)
