The Foundation has already been thanked. Some people who still need to be thanked: Joyce Shaw, Carolyn Trainor. Yong has some student volunteers, but they have not signed up or officially agreed to help. Yong needs to get names ASAP, because Joyce needs everything for the programs by Monday the 19th. Jeannie has arranged for ICE to pay the Folklife Center for Charter School event. Press Release- Jeannie didnt do it yet. The article for the newspaper came out today (10/15). The committee is thinking that Jeannie doesnt need to do the press release since the newspaper came out with the article. Angie is speaking Friday (10/16) on Ruby Radio about RDT. All the other radio stations have been given tickets and PSA. Committee thanked Wendy for getting the newspaper done. Jeannie sent a jpeg to Elko and outlying campuses. Katie put posters out all over town. Mary will put posters up in Spring Creek. Wendy did not contact Chamber of Commerce, but suggested putting information on KENV. Interview at Yongs studio on Monday has been confirmed. RDT is arriving Monday around 5:00PM and they are going straight to Yongs studio and then doing 3 classes Monday. Yong invited everyone to check it out Monday. Wendy is working on HYPERLINK "http://www.craigslist.com" www.craigslist.com The Charter School is all scheduled for Tuesday at 9:00AM at the Folklife Center. The whole school (about 220 people) will be there; faculty and students in grades K-8. Yong will be going to the center before to make sure everything is ready and set up right. She will bring tickets to the RDT performance to try to sell; just accepting checks so no need for change. Yong will be the contact person for Tuesday morning. Linda Smith will do the introduction before it starts. Adobe movement class is scheduled for 2:30PM. There will be about 35 cheerleaders. Still unsure if this will be a workshop or a lecture. Jeannie will talk to Linda about what they will be doing there. Angie will try to be there to be the contact person, but if she cant Sarah Jolly, the cheer coach can be the contact person. At 4:30PM RDT will work with another cheer group from Spring Creek High School. There will be about 33 cheerleaders and a few advisors. This group really wants to do a movement class. The class will be at GBC and the contact person will be Alyssa Pirtle, the cheer coach. Elko High School cheer coach never called Angie back. The football coach really wanted to do it, but couldnt. Angie emailed the basketball coach but didnt hear back. Wednesday morning RDT can relax, nothing planned. Maybe ICE can get some college students for volunteers for rehearsal, since they usually have a more flexible schedule? High Schoolers may not be able to be able to be at rehearsal at 2:00PM. Two volunteers are still needed at 2:00PM and two at 6:00PM. Lynne and Yong can be there at 4:00PM. Pat Warren volunteered to be a stagehand. As for refreshments, there is not enough time or resources to do it. Yong needs to call Albertsons to let them know that we do not need anything. RDT still needs to be provided bottled water for the event and workshops. Committee just decided to give the cases to RDT and they can take it where they need it. Yong doesnt need water at her studio. Lynne volunteered to go get the cases of water. Lynne confirmed the volunteers within the committee. Angie and Lisa will sell tickets and be door monitors. Wendy will speak before the event- evaluations and housekeeping (please turn cell phone off). Carl will do the introduction after Wendy speaks. Jeannie forgot to bring Humanities Speakers information. Speakers will be on the 28th or 29th of January. Nick Spitzer, from New Orleans is the featured speaker. Are there any classes that can be linked to what he is going to speak about? ICE is going to try and get GTA 130, which is IAV. Carrie Brunos dad will be coming to speak about child abuse again. The committee would like to see him speak longer or have the talk later in the evening so working people can come. Will the evening conflict with Cowboy Poetry? Another idea is to get foster parents to the talk so they can receive credit for continuing education. For Cowboy Poetry, the keynote speaker will be Henry Real Bird; who is Montanas Poet Laureate. He will give workshops and talks. The committee suggested getting the students in English classes involved with their writing. In the past attendance has not been so high-get a jump on promoting. Can ICE tie Real Bird to the Friday night Powwow? Talk to Pat Anderson about the conflict with the renovation in the Community Center. Joni Morris who does tributes to Patsy Cline is willing to take the door if we host her. It will be either 14th or 21st of October 2010. She will need 3 hotel rooms when she comes. The Committee likes the idea of hosting her. The GBC Foundations annual community giving: what is the impact of the ICE donation? Foundation wants comments from the committee members pretty soon. The committee should email Jeannie their comments. Lynne will get people who are not in the ICE committee to give comments as well. Foundation wanted Jeannie to tell the committee to consider giving to the Foundation, even if it is just $1. This is so the Foundation can say they have 100% of GBCs employees support. Jeannie made a point that Foundation is new at giving to committees as they usually give to scholarships and for bricks and mortar. Lynne announced an Argentum meeting Tuesday at Caf Xcetera if anyone is interested. Meeting adjourned at 3:30PM. & ( K_`wxyz#34uȿлзhm>h3whmhmH*hmh9XhAhp"hSh5Vh{hTNoh$!h}0Jjh}Uh}h`jhu@h>h";>h,?h,?H*hh,1h,?h/h/819:BC' ( W X n o gd/$a$gd/ JKxyyzDEbgd/ "bh,1hm>hm>H*hm>h3w21h:p// =!"#$% ^ 2 0@P`p2( 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p8XV~_HmH nH sH tH @`@ /NormalCJ_HaJmH sH tH DA`D Default Paragraph FontRiR 0 Table Normal4 l4a (k ( 0No List 6U@6 } Hyperlink >*B*phHH ,1 Balloon TextCJOJQJ^JaJNN ,1Balloon Text CharCJOJQJ^JaJPK![Content_Types].xmlj0Eжr(΢Iw},-j4 wP-t#bΙ{UTU^hd}㨫)*1P' ^W0)T9<l#$yi};~@(Hu* Dנz/0ǰ $ X3aZ,D0j~3߶b~i>3\`?/[G\!-Rk.sԻ..a濭?PK!֧6 _rels/.relsj0 }Q%v/C/}(h"O = C?hv=Ʌ%[xp{۵_Pѣ<1H0ORBdJE4b$q_6LR7`0̞O,En7Lib/SeеPK!kytheme/theme/themeManager.xml M @}w7c(EbˮCAǠҟ7՛K Y, e.|,H,lxɴIsQ}#Ր ֵ+!,^$j=GW)E+& 8PK!Ptheme/theme/theme1.xmlYOo6w toc'vuر-MniP@I}úama[إ4:lЯGRX^6؊>$ !)O^rC$y@/yH*񄴽)޵߻UDb`}"qۋJחX^)I`nEp)liV[]1M<OP6r=zgbIguSebORD۫qu gZo~ٺlAplxpT0+[}`jzAV2Fi@qv֬5\|ʜ̭NleXdsjcs7f W+Ն7`g ȘJj|h(KD- dXiJ؇(x$( :;˹!
