Include your judgement as to whether or not the criterion for student achievement has been met.In the boxes below, please reflect on this outcomes results and summarize how you plan to use the results to improve student learning.Outcome #1: Identify and explain properties, classification and types of lubricants. Assessment Measure: NCCER written test and NCCER Performance Evaluation. Criterion for achievement: 70 % or higher on NCCER written test and 100 percent on Performance Evaluation for NCCER certification. Results: 8 out of 8 passed written test with 70% or higher. 5 out of 8 passed Performance Evaluation with 100% on first try. Lowest score was a 90% for other 3, they all redid Performance evaluation later and met standard. Criterion Met: Yes1. Results Analysis: I was pleased with the results 8 of 8 passed written and lowest score on Performance Evaluation was 90%. plan on continuing this part of the course the same way as I have been doing it. 2. Action Plan: Plan on continuing this part of the course the same way as I have been doing it. Outcome #2: Identify types of bearings and common bearing failure modes and the conditions that cause them. Assessment Measure: NCCER written test and NCCER Performance Evaluation. Criterion for achievement: 70 % or higher on NCCER written test and 100 percent on Performance Evaluation for NCCER certification. Results: 7 out of 8 passed written test with 70% or higher. 4 out of 8 passed Performance Evaluation with 100% on first try. Lowest score was a 78% for other 4, they all redid Written test and Performance Evaluation later and met standard. Criterion Met: Yes1.Results Analysis: I was pleased with written scores, but I would like Performance Evaluation to get a little higher. 2. Action Plan: Try to integrate more bearing failure pictures into the class to give students more examples of bearing types and failures. I am adding a hydraulically installed and removed bearing next year. We purchased this year but did not get it here in time for the class. Also hoping to go to a train the trainer in August 2020 to learn more about it. Outcome #3: Identify parts of a bearing, remove, inspect and install bearings according to manufactures specifications Assessment Measure: NCCER written test and NCCER Performance Evaluation. Criterion for achievement: 70 % or higher on NCCER written test and 100 percent on Performance Evaluation for NCCER certification. Results: 7 out of 8 passed written test with 70% or higher. 8 out of 8 passed Performance Evaluation with 100% on first try. The one who did not pass the written test the first try redid it and passed. Criterion Met: Yes1. Results Analysis: I was very pleased with test results. 7 of 8 passed written test first try and 8 of 8 100% on performance evaluation. 2. Action Plan: I plan on continuing this part of the course the same way as I have been doing. Over the last few years I have implemented several lab projects that have helped the students succeed in this area. I added a tapered bearing installation and removal that really seems to work well. Outcome #4: Identify and explain types of seals and seal material and how to remove, inspect and install properly. Assessment Measure: NCCER written test and NCCER Performance Evaluation. Criterion for achievement: 70 % or higher on NCCER written test and 100 percent on Performance Evaluation for NCCER certification. Results: 7 out of 8 passed written test with 70% or higher. 7 out of 8 passed Performance Evaluation with 100% on first try. Both students redid the Written test and Performance Evaluation later and met standard. Criterion Met: Yes1. Results Analysis: I was pleased with 7 of 8 passing both standards for the NCCER. 2. Action Plan: I plan on continuing this part of the course the same way as I have been doing it. Outcome #5: Identify and explain belt and chain drives and how to remove and install them properly. Assessment Measure: NCCER written test and NCCER Performance Evaluation. Criterion for achievement: 70 % or higher on NCCER written test and 100 percent on Performance Evaluation for NCCER certification. Results: 7 out of 8 passed written test with 70% or higher. Only 2 out of 8 passed Performance Evaluation with 100% on first try. All redid Written test and Performance Evaluation later and met standard. Criterion Met: Yes1. Results Analysis: I was pleased with written test results but very disappointed with Performance Evaluation results. 2. Action Plan: I plan on spending more time with students on the identification of belt types and the numbers that identify them. I went away from a class project that had them identify everything on the numbering system to their classmates in a oral report. I am going to reinstate that next year. Outcome #6: Assessment Measure: Criterion for achievement:Results: Criterion Met: Yes/No1. Results Analysis: 2.
