Notes: This class is difficult to teach as students expect, based on their high school education, that the course is basically vacation photos. As well, it is an introductory general education course and participation is an issue for far too many students as reflected in total scores. GBC is now tracking W, D, and F grades and assigning responsibility to instructors. Of 15 students in the course, here are the final scores for those in earning a D (less than 60%) or below. All other students earned a C or better. The ongoing total score is visible to students throughout the semester. Student 1: total score 0% -- did no work Student 2: total score 52% -- did not submit two discussion points (100 pts total) and did not do 1/7 quizzes Student 3: total score 20% -- did not submit three discussion posts (150 pts), did not do 5/7 quizzes.
